New AI-Editor. It is a new feature of Lensa application (Lensa Terms of Use and Privacy Policy) designed to enhance your experience at Lensa powered by a third-party AI technology. It supports you on your photo editing journey by analyzing your photo and either enhancing it automatically or suggesting the best tweaks (the “AI-Editor”).

What does AI-Editor do? It can analyze detalization of a photo, ask if the background plays an important role in the composition and determine whether the background can be blurred and to what extent; identify unnecessary elements in the photo, providing a list of objects; determine the quality of lighting in the photo, and provide recommendations for next actions.
Third-Party AI Technology. The AI-Editor is powered by OpenAI (e.g. GPT-4o API and GPT-4o mini API) (the “OpenAI”).
How do we use your personal data when you use the AI-Editor?
Purpose of Use and Legal Basis. We use your personal data (i.e. photos) to provide you with an enhanced experience of our service where AI-Editor will perform the tasks requested by you. This is for the performance of our contract with you and for our legitimate interests in performing and enforcing our contracts with you and/or to defend our rights in case of claims. We do not use your personal data to train and/or create separate artificial intelligence models or products.
Transfer of Your Photos to OpenAI. When choosing to apply AI-Editor your uploaded photos are sent to OpenAI's servers for processing. OpenAI will receive and process your photos exclusively for the purpose of AI-Editor, and these photos may be processed and stored temporarily on OpenAI's servers. The photos are transmitted over secure channels to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of your personal data.
Processing and Retention of Photos by OpenAI. OpenAI may retain the photos for a limited period as required to provide the AI-Editor service but will not use your photos for any purposes other than performing the AI-Editor tasks requested by you. OpenAI will comply with its own privacy practices and regulations regarding the retention and deletion of photos after processing. Please, kindly note that we have no control over such OpenAI practices and regulations regarding the retention and deletion and shall not assume any responsibilities arising thereof.
Your Rights. You remain eligible for all applicable rights as described under Privacy Policy Section 8 (Your Rights in Relation to Your Personal Data), and we have implemented legal measures according to industry best practice where necessary to guarantee such rights when your personal data is shared with OpenAI.
Data Security. We take your privacy and the security of your photos seriously and employ industry-standard legal and organizational security measures to protect the photos during transmission and processing.
Data Privacy and Confidentiality. When choosing to apply AI-Editor we will not share your photos with any third parties other than OpenAI as described hereunder, unless required by law or for other purposes described in our Privacy Policy.
Where and how long is my personal data stored? All the personal data (i.e. photos) shared with OpenAI for processing by the AI-Editor are normally stored within 30 days on OpenAI servers in the United States according to their retention policy. Data Deletion. After the AI photo editing process is complete, your photos will be deleted from OpenAI's servers according to their data retention policy. You may also request the deletion of your photos at any time by sending us an email at [email protected]. We will strive to fulfil your request as soon as practically possible.
Changes to This Privacy Notice. We may update this privacy notice from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Any changes will be posted accordingly and brought to your kind attention.
